Today, independent game studio Codex Worlds announced its release of the playable demo for its graphically stunning 3D tower defense game, Infinium Strike. The demo, downloadable at http://www.infiniumstrike.com or http://bit.ly/1LTlnMS, offers players a comprehensive look into this unique take on tower defense. Infinium Strike puts you in charge of weapon systems aboard Freedom Strike—the largest, most heavily armed ship in human history—as you defend against hordes of sentient alien ships, called The Wrog.
Creative Director, Dexter Chow says, “Our vision for Infinium Strike is to offer players lane-based tower defense with a rich 3D experience, a deep campaign, and a bit of arcade action.”
In conjunction with the release of the playable demo, Codex Worlds is preparing for an upcoming Kickstarter campaign. After two years of game development, Infinium Strike is nearing beta. With additional funds from Kickstarter, Codex Worlds will further polish gameplay, add content, and implement valuable feedback received from the player community.
Infinium Strike is planned for release in fall 2015 on PC, Mac, and Linux, and has been green-lit by Steam ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=311501470), Valve Corporation’s digital distribution platform.
Game features include:
– Classic tower defense (including lane management) in an arcade-style experience
– Immersive, free-roaming gameplay camera
– Full story campaign with four levels of difficulty
– High score arcade mode
– Wide variety of tactics using towers, ships, and special technologies
– Ranking system from a “green” Captain to a rank of Galactic Admiral
