So after a true review of the original hardware on the Hori Real Arcade Pro arcade stick I decided to change the joystick and buttons to something more preferable to myself. Now I’m a little biased when it comes to Sanwa buttons, I love the feel and sound of them. So I wanted to try something a little different so I went with the silent version. I won’t lie I wasn’t excited after I ordered them, but after I got them installed my opinion change! Half of the enjoyment of playing on a fight stick is the noise of pushing the buttons so that was what I was worried about when I ordered the silent version but I really couldn’t care less now. It’s definitely not as loud but there is still a satisfying sound when smashing buttons. But my favorite part is the activation press length, its short and snappy and no extra length to press further than what’s needed for activation.

The seimitsu-ls-62-01 is a godsend from the Hayabusa that came stock with the Hori RAP V. The Seimitsu was everything I wanted in a joystick; it was short, firm and precise. There is a bit of a learning curve with it being shorter. There is little “play” in any direction so if you move it’s going that way. Which I can see people not liking but I think it is a real advantage when inputting directions for combos.

This was 110% the upgraded that I needed to feel the most comfortable. This feels like an arcade stick should feel like right out of the box; snappy, responsive, and firm. Again nothing against the original parts but this is my preference when it comes to arcade stick hardware.
