Okay, I may have baited you just a little with that title, but what’s really happening is quite extraordinary.

The two Hollywood stars are actually set to star as Joan Crawford (Lange) and Bette Davis (Sarandon) in Ryan Murphy’s Feud. The duo will star in the eight-episode first season about Bette Davis and Joan Crawford’s infamous feud that went down in 1962 when they worked on What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

The pilot episode is based on the script Best Actress by Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam. Murphy is executive producing alongside Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner. Sarandon and Lange are also on board as producers. The cast also includes Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess are set to costar. Murphy is directing several episodes.
