Popular actor Larry Hagman has died at the age of 81. Hagman, a staple on the small screen since the mid 1960’s in “I DREAM OF JEANNIE” and a decade later as the conniving character J.R. Ewing in the hit show “DALLAS” passed away from cancer which he had been battling for over a year. He disclosed his condition as he began work on the soap- opera reboot that appeared on TNT.
A statement released to the Dallas Morning News by the actor’s family noted, “Larry’s family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones. It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for. The family requests privacy at this time.”
