The 28-year-old actress has been making the news for all the wrong reasons. After accusing her father of sexually abusing her on Twitter of all places, and then shortly recanting her statement. After flying to LA, she was admitted directly into a Pasadena Mental Health Facility. For the next 72 hours, she will undergo psychiatric evaluation. Her recent outburst, whether true or not, is disturbing. After her explicit accusations about her father appeared on Twitter, a somewhat emotional statement by the actress’s mother, via her lawyer, who proclaimed daddy Rick to have been the best father in the world.

Frankly the whole thing seems psychotic. In many cases like this, the mother or the father stick up for the accused parent while the world stares in shock. What is the truth? We may never know. The 28-year-old Bynes recanted her Twitter accusation by claiming that the “Microchip in her brain made her do this.” The chip was apparently placed there under her father’s direction, claimed the actress. Publicity stunt or a serious cry for help? The answer may be revealed in 72 hours providing Aliens do not beam her up for a closer look at the world’s greatest technology.
