Frankie Valli, the Four Seasons frontman, is set to perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Feb. 14.
Tickets start at $85 and go on sale Dec. 18.
Valli came to fame as the lead singer of the Four Seasons in 1962. After performing “Sherry” on American Bandstand, the band became an overnight sensation with a No. 1 record.
During 1964, the group released one hit after another, including “Dawn (Go Away),” “Ronnie,” “Rag Doll,” “Save It For Me,” “Big Man in Town” and, in early 1965, “Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye).”
In 1967, Valli released his first successful solo single, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” which shot to No. 2 on the Billboard charts. The song has become one of the top ten most-played songs in history.
Following his success, Valli released two more Top 40 solo hits, “I Make a Fool of Myself” and “To Give (the Reason I Live).”
Although Valli’s solo career was flourishing, he continued as a member of the Four Seasons. The band released numerous Top 40 hits, including “C’mon Marianne,” “Watch the Flowers Grow” and “Will You Love Me Tomorrow.”
Throughout the 70s, Valli continued to release smash-hit singles, including “My Eyes Adored You,” which reached No. 1, “Swearin’ to God” and his solo performance of “Grease,” which reached No. 1 on the charts.
In 1990, Valli, along with the other original Four Seasons members, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Recently, thanks to the volcanic success of the Tony-winning musical “Jersey Boys,” which chronicles the life and times of Valli and his legendary group, classic songs such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” are all the rage again.
The current excitement prompted Valli to salute the decade that made him a star, with the release of his first new studio album in 15 years, “Romancing the ‘60s.” Valli put his own stamp on some of the ‘60s song favorites, including “Spanish Harlem,” “Call Me” and “Take Good Care of My Baby.”
