George Zimmerman, the self-appointed Neighborhood Watch Nazi who was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of Travon Martin, is once again in the news. He was arrested late Friday evening, charged with aggravated assault.
Details are still unfolding, but Zimmerman was reported to have thrown a wine bottle at his girlfriend. The incident occurred several days prior to his arrest.
This is not Zimmerman’s first incident with domestic violence. There were two incidents in 2013 and another road rage incident in 2014 where Zimmerman reportedly threatened to kill a motorist and added, “Do you know who I am?”
Zimmerman was released on $5,000 bond.
