In what is certainly a tragedy in the making, Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive this morning in a bathtub full of water. Her husband found her and began CPR until police arrived on the scene. The daughter of the late Whitney Houston was rushed to a nearby medical facility where life-saving treatment continues.

It does not go without observation that this scene is potentially history repeating itself. Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012 and was also found unresponsive in a bathtub full of water. Bobbi Kristina was very upset following her mother’s death. She has since disappeared from the radar and was living a quiet life. This is a child who was caught between her father, Bobby Brown, and her mother, Whitney Houston. There are ten years or more of headlines that tell the sad story of this young woman.

Are children a victim of circumstance? It appears that, in this case, that they are. The drug use between both parents is no secret. The public fighting between both parents is no secret. God only knows what this beautiful young woman was a witness to growing up in such a divided household. There are rumors of drug use. There are rumors of delusion. There are rumors of a deep darkness that surrounds Bobbi Kristina after her mother’s death.

This is a piece of sadness from which all of humanity shall suffer. When a nation as great as the United States of America allows, children to be brought up in households where such damaging parenting occurs the outcome can only be tragic.

We should all bow our heads and ask for her salvation and that she find the strength to survive this current tragedy of her life. It is my profound wish that she find the peace to enjoy life and be free of the darkness, sadness, and obligations of being born into a family where love was not a stable.
