What up fam! I’ll be talking about the Razer Firefly gaming surface. I never thought I would be one to really be a stickler for a gaming surface, but I am now a believer in having a solid surface for your mouse. I had a Kabuto from Razer for about 3 years and really I thought there’s no point in having anything else, but not all gaming surfaces are created equally.

If you have seen some of my reviews, you should know I love the packaging from Razer and the firefly is no exception. It really makes opening one of their products more enjoyable.

The look of this isn’t all that flashy, aside from the multi color lights, but all black with the Razer logo on the top. The size of the mat is perfect for me, I prefer a medium sized surface (355 mm x 255 mm) compared to a something larger that goes under your whole mouse and keyboard setup.

I used my Steelseries Sensei on both the Kabuto and the Firefly and the difference is crazy. The Firefly allows my mouse to glide effortlessly with absolutely no drag. If you are a FPS played I would say this is almost necessary due to the ability to make the slightest movements without having a bit of drag.

If you use a basic or cloth surface, I would highly suggest trying out he Razer firefly. Do you have a Firefly? if you have one or if you decided to get one after reading this please give me your thoughts about it! Until next time, c-ya…
