Fans of Mafia history who also enjoy those bleak, atmospheric crime thrillers known as film noir have had a lot to like about Sunday mornings.

The Beginning of the End – A Thanksgiving Day Celebration

How Americans celebrate Thanksgiving today is a far cry from its historical origins and that’s probably a good thing. The truth about Thanksgiving has little to do with the white washed version we learn about in school or the Disney fairy tales we grew up watching.
So, what is the “truth” about Thanksgiving? Well, that’s the thing… it’s really hard to say, since experts tell us there is a very limited amount of tangible evidence available today.

A letter written by the pilgrim, Edward Winslow, has been kept. In it, Winslow speaks of the celebration held somewhere between early September and early November in 1621. But, interestingly, if you go online, you’ll find almost as many historical “explanations” for Thanksgiving, as there are websites on the internet, or at least it sure seems that way. So, what is the “truth” and why don’t we have the facts about it?

The role of the animator is a creative one as they are responsible for how movement and behavior are portrayed in a game. They need to do this while taking into account the limitations of the platform while also using the game engine’s technology to their advantage. In addition to a creative streak, an animator needs to have a good understanding of the development process.

David Cassidy, who came to fame as a ’70s teen heartthrob and lead singer on “The Partridge Family,” died Tuesday night, according to his publicist Jo-Ann Geffen. He was 67.

Cassidy had recently been admitted to the intensive care unit of a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, area hospital. He was in critical condition and suffering from organ failure before his death Tuesday, Geffen said.

“David died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long. Thank you for the abundance and support you have shown him these many years,” she said.

Cosby Show Co Star Earle Hyman Dead at 91

Earle Hyman, a longtime stage and TV actor who was best known for playing Bill Cosby’s father on “The Cosby Show,” died last Friday at the age of 91.

Hyman died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey, according to Jordan Strohl, a representative for The Actors Fund.

Hyman enjoyed an international theater career that spanned decades.

Singer and Actress Della Reese Dead at 86 – Entertainment News

Beloved singer and actress Della Reese passed away last evening at the of 86. Her role as Tess, on Touched By Angel, endeared her to millions long after her singing career had already made her a huge star.

She leaves behind children James, Franklin and Dominique, as well as husband Franklin Lett. She was predeceased by daughter Deloreese.

Turns out having the most powerful man in America be a racist, bigoted, misogynist hasn’t really been a great thing for our nation. Go figure!

I am actually embarrassed to tell people I meet from other countries that I’m from the US… Don’t get me wrong, I love the United States, but this is not our best… not even close. Hateful, scared, racist, bigots can’t be who we are as a culture. We have to be better than this.

The lies, deception, and distractions have really been overwhelming. People are tired of having to keep track of every single new tweet… every tantrum, indiscretion, racist comment, and embarrassing act. Then there’s always the lingering fear that Trump could start WWlll with his antics. It’s as if our president were an immature middle schooler with access to the nuclear codes. And of course, all the lies from those fake news stations are just liberal propaganda to make Trump look bad, right? I think I speak for many when I say, we’re all getting really sick of this baloney!

I don’t know what’s worse working out or the A-holes at the gym? My fitness life has been null and void for many months and my main excuse for getting back on track, is people at the gym. If I lived somewhere warm all year around I’d workout outside where I have plenty of space and minimal distractions, but I live in VA and we experience all four seasons. So, now that’s it’s cold as hell, I have to go sweat inside like EVERYBODY else. Recently, I joined a 24 hour gym, so I can go at times when less people are around to annoy me. Yes, it’s less people, but they still get on my nerves.

Like recently, I figured I’ll go to the gym at 10:30pm on a Friday night because no one will be there. Nope, nope, nope it was packed! None of these people have somewhere to be? No dates, clubs, the movies, Netflix and chill? I went from disappointed to pissed off as soon I walked in. Not only was it crowded but some inconsiderate ass people where having a Couple’s Pregnancy photo-shoot in the gym? Really?

Country Music Legend Mel Tillis DEAD at 85 – Cause of DEATH Revealed

Country music legend Mel Tillis, whose six-decade career in the music industry had him scoring hits such as “I Ain’t Never”, “Coca Cola Cowboy”, “Southern Rains”, and “I Believe In You” and who never let his stutter get in the way of him becoming a legend, died on Sunday, his publicist confirmed. He was 85.

Tillis passed away at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla., his publicist Don Murry Grubbs said. The music legend is believed to have died from respiratory failure after he never recovered from intestinal issues he has been battling since 2016. He leaves behind his longtime partner, Kathy DeMonaco, his six children and six grandchildren.

Movie and TV Actress Ann Wedgeworth DEAD at 83

Ann Wedgeworth, who gained fame on film and Broadway before taking on the role of a flirty divorcee on “Three’s Company,” died Thursday at the age of 83 in the New York area after a long illness, her daughter Dianna Martin said.

Wedgeworth landed her first Broadway role in the 1958 comedy “Make a Million” and continued to take on stage roles for decades. She won the 1978 Tony award for best featured actress in a play for her performance in Neil Simon’s “Chapter Two.”

There aren’t many major establishments left in Las Vegas like the Tropicana where the country’s most famous (and infamous) mob-connected people once walked.

Though it has undergone expansion and renovation through the years, the 60-year-old Tropicana is not the most luxurious resort in town. It has a small gaming area and a sportsbook consisting only of a ticket counter — no television screens to watch the games on, no chairs. Sports fans are better off being at places like Caesars Palace or the Westgate.

But if you want to stand where the big names in Las Vegas Mafia history once stood, head to “the Trop.”

Most people keep track of their lives with great memories and it’s often said, “That was the best day ever!” At times we say, “That was the worst day ever.” We count all these days as the sum of our lives but often I wonder how many days have I spent in the service of others?

Recently, I did just that!

In Tampa, there are areas that are not as developed and safe as others but there is always an effort to improve those areas. No matter what it looks like there are good people that just want to live a good life as best they can. They want a safe neighborhood and a safe place for their children to play when they come home for school. For me, it’s called the University Area.

My last column I discussed the “Slugging Etiquette” and shared some of the notorious slug driver’s I’ve come across such as Sir Talks a-lot, Rule Breaker and Reckless Driver. This time I’m going to share a few more of my slug stories because why the hell not!
If you remember from last time, one of the rules from the “Slugging Etiquette” was no talking on the phone and I talked being stuck in the slug car listening to a conference call. Well, it happened again! I get in the car and I hear random chatter but it didn’t sound like a conference call at first. Then I hear the “Good Morning everyone! Who’s on the line?” I guess I could’ve put my headphones on but I wanted to be nosey.

TLC has been my favorite girl group since I was a little kid! I remember having Ain’t To Proud 2 beg on cassette tape and jamming out to it with my father. As I got older I mimicked T-Boz, my favorite member, as much as my parents would allow which was usually baggy jeans and her hairstyle. I was absolutely thrilled that she had written another book, this time about things I always wondered about my favorite group or wanted the truth about.

Once I got my hands on it, I was elated! There’s a great cover photo of T-Boz in her classic grown woman but a tomboy look, “A Sick Life” at the top in sparkly gold letters and 235 pages. Being an avid reader, I knew I would devour it; sure, enough I finished it in a day.

We have all been there…that moment when your stomach cramps up, you break out in a vicious sweat, your grip becomes deathly tight on whatever you may be holding on to at the moment and you realize that there is no way you can release any amount of air without a full blown catastrophe.

Several years ago this happened to me in such a manner that for the first time in my life I actually considered, seriously debated the pros and cons of literally crapping my pants. Don’t judge me, you can’t tell me with all honesty that you have never been there and had that debate with yourself. I mean the rumble starts and before you know it you are holding on for dear life and grinding your teeth together while desperately trying to use every single butt muscle to close off the inevitable. Also, just a side note…it NEVER happens when you are somewhere convenient like say HOME!

Magnum PI Co Star John Hillerman Dead at 84

John Hillerman, who made a living out of being a character actor, including Tom Selleck’s fastidious estate caretaker Jonathan Quayle Higgins III on Magnum, P.I., died Thursday. He was 84.

During Hillerman’s acting career he received four Emmy nominations in consecutive years for portraying Higgins and won in 1987. Hillerman, died at his home in Houston, family spokeswoman Lori De Waal told the Associated Press. She said the cause of death had not been determined.
