BOOK REVIEW: Black and Blue: The Redd Foxx Story
Author Michael Seth Starr has a best seller on his hands with the autobiography “Black and Blue: The Redd Foxx Story.” From page one, to very last page of the book, Starr takes the reader on a journey through the amazing life of Jon Sanford (AKA – Redd Foxx), from his youth growing up in Saint Louis, to his days of running the streets of Harlem, New York, with Malcolm Little (AKA Malcolm X), pulling off small cons for starters.
Redd Foxx was a man who went from obscurity playing the “Chitlin’ Circuit,” to the greatest heights of the entertainment world. At the age of 49, after working in show business for over 30 years, he became a household name as the star of “Sanford and Son,” a show that took the NBC network to the top. It is all highlighted in this book in great detail. Foxx lived a lot of life in his 68 years on planet Earth, seeing success and failure, but never losing his amazing comedic wits.

North Korean television has announced via a “special broadcast” that its leader Kim Jong Il has died in Pyongyang. He was 69.
Kim’s death was announced Monday from the state capital of Pyongyang. Il was a horrible man and tyrant to his people. The world is a better place today without him and hopefully the people of North Korea can find solace in his death and maybe one day, become a non communist country.

Line of Fire Getting Longer in All Sports
Online sports gambling dynamics are changing quickly as nearly everyone has been hiding under their desks these days as December has been hot and heavy with massive firings of coaches that will change the look and the angles of the respective teams and sports involved.
College football has led the way with a deluge of firings that could still go on as now assistant coaches are being picked off left and right by head coaches that barely survived and who are facing the guarantee of being clipped if they don’t improve things in 2012. Among the most bizarre of all firings was at Texas A&M where Mike Sherman methodically built the Aggies up to the status of a 9-win team last year that included wins over Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. The Aggies slipped back this year to 6-6 as they had trouble holding big leads. Instead of thinking in terms of giving Sherman another year as he continued to recruit great talent, the Aggies went to the extreme to fire him a week after a tough and controversial loss to Texas.

An American Treasure: Comedian Pat Cooper Sits Down with NewzBreaker
Exclusive Interview by “Bad” Brad Berkwitt
“Pat Cooper is a rarity in the business, best defined with the expression, ‘What you see is what you get!’ He’s the most honest man in the business; one of my favorite people! –an’ you can tell him I said so!”—Julius La Rosa
“No one is funnier once Pat gets going! He is hard to top. Al loved him as all Italians do. They adopted him as part of their family.”– Judi Martino (Widow of the legendary Italian Singer Al Martino)
Pasquale Caputo came into this world on July 31, 1929. Years later, as Pasquale plied his trade in comedy, he would transform into Pat Cooper, entertaining fans with his own brand of comedy that is more rapid than a 1920’s Thompson submachine gun. In the “Book of Berkwitt,” the music world had Frank Sinatra, the movie world has Al Pacino, the boxing world had Aaron Pryor and finally, the comedy world has Pat Cooper. Before the NewzBreaker readers bombard me with emails saying are you crazy with these choices, I said in “The Book of Berkwitt.”
AL CAPONE: Author Deirdre Marie Capone Opens the Books with NewzBreaker
Exclusive Interview by “Bad” Brad Berkwitt
“I was raised that your word is your bond and family is everything.”—Deirdre Marie Capone
Al Capone’s grandniece, Deirdre Marie Capone, has written an outstanding book called “Uncle Al Capone” that I recently reviewed on NewzBreaker that talks about the man behind the myth, her loving “Uncle Al.” Throughout the book, she tells inside stories about the family that has never gotten any press before.
From the moment we sat down to do our interview, I found a very warm lady that is no longer afraid to say she is a Capone for fear of being shunned – something she has dealt with along with many other of her family members over the years. In this exclusive interview, you are going to hear some things from Deirdre that are going to shock you, but if you really think about it, they are not hard to believe at all…
Ladies and Gentlemen, NB brings you Mrs Deirdre Marie Capone..
