Beloved legendary golfer Arnold Palmer has died at the age of 87. Palmer, won every major honor the game has to offer along the way in the sport that made him a legend. Alastair Johnson, chief executive of Arnold Palmer Enterprises, told The Golf Channel — which Palmer co-founded, among his many successful business enterprises — that Palmer died Sunday afternoon from complications of heart problems. (The Golf Channel is a unit of NBCUniversal.)

The singer would look onto his audience and, with respect to the people who had wrote what he was about to perform, would start naming the songwriters. In the midst of this, he would remark (like one evening in 1988), “I don’t even know who the hell these guys are,” to the laughter of the concert going throng. It was no mistake that he didn’t like the upcoming song personally, but it was also no mistake that its release would return him to the number one spot on the popular music charts. The singer was Frank Sinatra, and the song was a little tune known as “Strangers in the Night.”

Americans have affirmed their fascination with the unknown by making such movies as “The Sixth Sense,” “The Blair Witch Project,” and “An American Haunting” box office hits. Despite the frightening images and mass hysteria these films conjured, people are wanting more than just Hollywood thrills. Nowadays, it’s all about well-documented, historical hauntings, where choreography, special effects, and screenwriting give way to the chilling and oft disturbing realities of life.

Bill Nunn who lite up the screen in every role he played has died at the age of 63. Nunn, bust into cinema history when he played Radio Raheem, the boombox-toting neighborhood philosopher killed by police officers in Spike Lee’s 1989 film “Do the Right Thing.
He passed yesterday and his death was announced on social media by MR Lee. His wife, Donna, told The Associated Press that MR Nunn had cancer.

On September 20th Angelina Jolie filed divorce from her longtime partner Brad Pitt after 2 years of marriage. They met on the set of the 2005 hit Mr. and Mrs. Smith which caused a media frenzy with rumors sparking about the nature of their relationship before the movie even wrapped.
At the time Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston and apparently he couldn’t resist the beautiful Angelina. I must say that I once crossed paths with Angelina while working for a limousine company here in Los Angeles. We had the pleasure of providing her car service for the Oscars in 2001. I was standing at the entrance to a tent that she had to pass to make her way to the Red Carpet. She really was divine in her satin white pants suit. A truly beautiful lady. I don’t have any qualms about complimenting a woman. I’m not gay and I never have been, but I guess you could say I had a lady crush on Mrs. Jolie in the past.

As if things weren’t terrifying enough already for the folks of the small West Virginia town, Point Pleasant, thanks to the Mothman they were about to see worse. A lot worse. Sightings of Mothman had somewhat faded away into the strange “twilight zone” from which he had come… but the horrors in Point Pleasant had far from ended. At around 5:00 in the evening on December 15, 1967, the 700-foot bridge linking Point Pleasant to Ohio suddenly collapsed while filled with rush hour traffic. Dozens of vehicles plunged into the dark waters of the Ohio River and 46 people were killed. Two of those were never found and the other 44 are buried together in the town cemetery of Gallipolis, Ohio.

According to the court documents, the pair separated on September 15, two years and one month after they married in August 2014. Jolie is seeking physical custody of their six children and asking the court to grant Pitt visitation. She is also asking to keep “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects” as well as any earnings from after the date of their separation and other separate assets to be determined later. Already there is speculation that a tabloid-friendly, child-unfriendly custody battle may ensue over their six children. But a source close to them asserted that both sides want a cordial breakup. “Other than the fame of the people involved, this is like so many other divorces,” the source said.

In 2006, with the upcoming release of Tony Bennett’s first collaborative album with multiple artists, the wonderful “Duets: An American Classic,” Columbia Records saw fit to enforce the legend of their longtime employee and legendary vocalist with the joint release of two compilation titles featuring a wealth of Bennett’s classic earlier work for the label.
The discs, “Greatest Hits of the 50s” and Greatest Hits of the 60s,” constitute a collection of Bennett’s chart-topping hits and well-known performances during the decades in question, considered the peak of his work as a recording artist, though Bennett’s voice has remained in wonderful shape and his recorded work prolific and plentiful as the years have endured. The two “Hits” titles also include some other uncommon material from Bennett’s extensive catalogue, and remain as perfect introductory music programs for those interested in discovering how Bennett became as popular a singer as he remains to be this day.

The Mothman is easily one of the strangest creatures to fall in the unexplained creatures of America category.
The weird events connected to the Mothman began on November 12, 1966 near Clendenin, West Virginia. Five men were in the local cemetery that day, preparing a grave for a burial, when something that looked like a “brown human being” lifted off from some nearby trees and flew over their heads. The men were baffled. It did not appear to be a bird, but more like a man with wings. A few days later, more sightings would take place, electrifying the entire region.
