Sad news to report today. Long time songwriter Rod Temperton who gained worldwide fame by writing Thriller and Rock With You massive hits for Michael Jackson’s career has died at the age of 66 last week in London. The cause of death was listed in the press release as a “Battle with Cancer”.
Temperton’s other hits included Off The Wall and Baby Be Mine for Jackson and Boogie Nights for his band Heatwave.
Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers was among those paying tribute, tweeting: “Your genius gave us a funkier world!”

You are stuck in the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep often accompanied by hallucinations. Some people say the experience feels like there’s a super natural being present at the time. It may feel as if they are sitting on your chest or physically restraining your arms, legs, torso, or all of these body parts simultaneously.
Accounts of sleep paralysis can be found in Persian medical texts dating all the way back to the 10th century. People have associated the experience with everything from witches, aliens, creatures such as gargoyles, and ghosts.

NFL Working on Adding More London Games

Over the past decade, the NFL has been toying with the idea of having a franchise in London, and the idea is getting closer to becoming reality, according to Mark Waller, the NFL’s International Executive Vice President. A franchise in London shouldn’t have an impact on NFL odds, but it could be a logistical nightmare for teams that have to travel to London.
Waller told reporters that he could see an NFL team playing multiple games in London during the same season, and added that the NFL will be putting additional games in the London schedule in the near future.
Waller also told the reporters that the NFL is making progress towards having a team relocate to London, and that he has a group working out the logistical issued that may arise from such a move, especially if playoff games have to be played in London.

The year 1976 marks an interesting footnote in the history of Francis Albert Sinatra. In addition to other high-profile musical moments that transpired (including his reunion of former partners Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis on the latter’s annual MDA Telethon, as well as his bicentennial performance of “The House I Live In” in Washington D.C.), this year was also notable thanks to his memorable, if not frequent performances with another legendary figure of music, folk and country artist John Denver. A rare occurrence in Sinatra’s career, his collaborations with Denver are counted amongst the few times that Sinatra shared equal billing with an artist of relative popularity, a limited group that includes his Rat Pack cronies Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, JR., as well as Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Tony Bennett, Shirley MacLaine, and the team of Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.
