We beg people to adopt and do not shop for pets. The shelters and rescue groups have so many wonderful dogs and cats that need and deserve a great home.

Both shelters and rescues can tell you about your potential new family member. They have been around them and know some of their characteristics. For example, if they are scared of humans, indicating they have possibly been abused. This is something an animal can overcome with love and attention, remember it is not their fault they were abused. Many humans are not prepared for the work they will need to put in to training a new pet. That is when the abuse often occurs. EVERY pet needs training, regardless of the breed or pedigree they all need training.

News has flooded the internet that at the time of singer Prince’s death, he had prescription opioid medication on him and in his Minnesota home, a law enforcement official told CNN.The pills are commonly used to treat pain, and investigators have brought in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to help with the case, the source said Wednesday. Investigators believe a health scare about a week before Prince’s death, which caused an unscheduled landing of his plane in Illinois, was likely the result of a reaction to the pain medication, the official said.

Today in Pampered Chefs Happy Families we’re taking a short cut to Italy with these super easy and super yummy lasagna squares. 10 minutes prep time, 20 in the oven.

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 package of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
2 garlic cloves

Like so many others, I was both surprised and saddened to hear the news of the passing of Prince last Thursday. I had turned on CNN expecting to hear the typical update about the Democratic and Republican primary races. For once, we heard very little about this as the focus was almost entirely on one of the great musical icons of the past 35 years. After following this story for the past several days, I’ve learned a great deal about Prince that I never knew. I also now realize that I never truly appreciated what an incredibly talented and unique musician this man actually was.

Using a Large Bar Pan (item #1445) exclusive to Pampered Chef, this quick and easy meal will be sure to please. You can tweak the ingredients to accommodate your minion’s personal tastes.
What you’ll need:

2 cups chopped cooked chicken (I use canned chicken)
1 cup chopped broccoli
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, pressed (I use equiv. of minced garlic)
1 cup sharp shredded cheese
1/2 cup mayo
1 tsp dried dill weed
1/4 tsp salt
2 (8 oz) pkg refrigerated crescent rolls (keep in fridge till ready to use)
2 tbsp slivered almonds, optional
1 egg white, lightly beaten, also optional

I would be remised without thoroughly addressing last week’s loss of perhaps my generation’s best artist, musician, arranger, and composer Prince Rogers Nelson. The New York Times obituary said it best “His music was a cornucopia of ideas triumphantly & brilliantly kaleidoscopic”, and I cannot express fully in this article how important and impactful his music and genius has been in my life. I think I can attest for millions of fans when I say it feels like we loss someone in our family last week. I lay around all weekend looking at videos, documentaries, and the blockbuster movie Purple Rain a few times. You have to admire and feel inspired for someone who maximized his godly gift to the absolute fiber of his being.

So after a true review of the original hardware on the Hori Real Arcade Pro arcade stick I decided to change the joystick and buttons to something more preferable to myself. Now I’m a little biased when it comes to Sanwa buttons, I love the feel and sound of them. So I wanted to try something a little different so I went with the silent version. I won’t lie I wasn’t excited after I ordered them, but after I got them installed my opinion change! Half of the enjoyment of playing on a fight stick is the noise of pushing the buttons so that was what I was worried about when I ordered the silent version but I really couldn’t care less now. It’s definitely not as loud but there is still a satisfying sound when smashing buttons. But my favorite part is the activation press length, its short and snappy and no extra length to press further than what’s needed for activation.

Feral cats are totally different from socialized cats. They have not been socialized by people so they don’t know how to respond to people. Most of the time a female feral cat gives birth to a litter of kittens and almost immediately they hiss and avoid people just like mama, but little known to people if you just throw a socialized cat out to fend for itself they also can become feral. Just like dogs, cats need to be spayed and neutered.

A cat also needs several vaccines a year such as rabies, FVRCP and feline leukemia. Feline leukemia mimics the symptoms of AIDS and if a cat gets this disease, they will suffer greatly until they die from it. The normal longevity of a cat is around 21 years so it is vital if you get a cat to get all their vaccines and from day one keep them well socialized.

The internet has been inundated with all news Prince since his passing last Thursday, which has family, friends and worldwide fans mourning. Every aspect of his life is under a magnify glass as is the case with any celebrity of the status he achieved. The most recent breaking news is about whether he left a will or not? As of right now, his sister Tyka Nelson has filed court documents that Prince left no will.

“The Decedent died intestate,” Nelson said in her petition for the appointment of a special administrator to deal with Prince’s estate, which has been widely reported to be valued at $300 million.

Every year dogs suffer and die when their owners make the foolish mistake of leaving them in a parked car, event for just a few minutes to run an errand or two. Parked cars are death traps for dogs. On a 78-degree day the temperature inside a parked car can soar to between 100 and 120 degrees in just minutes, and on a 90-degree day the interior temperature can reach as high as 160 degrees in just 10 minutes.
