The Exorcism of Roland Doe: Fact or Elaborate Hoax?

I would like to debut with a bang by discussing one of the most infamous paranormal cases of all time, the alleged demonic possession of a young Maryland boy in 1949. That’s right, some of you have already muttered the words that will forever send chills down the spines of all those who have watched the movie, ‘THE EXORCIST’. Released in 1973, over two decades after the young boy’s horrific ordeal, one of the most profitable horror movies ever made, this story of an exorcism is based loosely on actual events.
To this day few realize that the movie, and Peter Blatty’s novel of the same name, are based on a true story, a month’s long exorcism of a 14-year-old boy, who priests gave the pseudonym ‘Roland Doe’.

Things That Go Bump in the Night and Other Reasons to Sleep With the Lights On

The world’s fascination with the paranormal and supernatural goes back many centuries with countless recorded cases of unexplained events or unusual people presumed to be demons, witches or something even worse. Most tales of paranormal activity will be waved away as nonsense, a mistake of the mind, a trick of the light, or else an outright lie. But then there are some incidences that just cannot be ignored or blamed on the cat. Personal encounters that others cannot or just will not understand, incidences that have forever changed how we look at the world; and no matter how much we believe what we saw, explaining it to someone else and making them accept it for what it is a whole other story.

David Bowie Tribute: Ground Control to Major Tom Open the Gates for Another Musical Genius who Touched Many Through his Amazing Body of Music

A very bright light went out on January 10, 2016…
DAVID BOWIE. Musician. Artist. Actor. Fashion Icon. Social Chameleon. Internet visionary. Talk about a renaissance man. Was there anything he couldn’t do? Bowie first came to earth in the incarnation as an average David in post WW2 Britain, and the Starman was talented from the start. By the time he was 22, he had a major hit with 1969’s “Space Oddity”. By 1972, Bowie (who changed his name because he didn’t want to be confused with Davey Jones of The Monkees) was a household name as “Ziggy Stardust”. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, Bowie morphed into many other personas and remained at the forefront of pop, film, fashion, and artistic innovation.
